Imports were 15.43.37 billion yuan, up 11.7%. In January and July, Shanghai's total import and export volume reached 1817.913 billion yuan, up 17.5% from the same period last year.
From the perspective of the business entity, the export of state-owned enterprises in Shanghai in July was 12.854 billion yuan, down 1.4% from the same month last year, and the import of 218.52 billion yuan, up 3.2%. Private enterprises exported 24.87 billion yuan, up 17.2%, and imports 27.761 billion yuan, an increase of 8.5%. The export of foreign-invested enterprises reached 723.76 billion yuan, up 10.9 percent, and imports 1041.86 billion yuan, an increase of 15.9 percent.
In terms of trade, Shanghai's general trade exports in July were 5.463 billion yuan, up 12.4 percent from the same month last year, and imports 85626 billion yuan, up 9.4 percent. Processing trade exports were 437.31 billion yuan, up 16.7 percent, imports 197.62 billion yuan, up 20.0 percent.
In terms of major trade products, the export of mechanical and electrical products in Shanghai in July was 76305 billion yuan, up 13.2% from the same month last year, and imports 827.36 billion yuan, up 21.0%. The export of new and new technology products reached 46.817 billion yuan, up 15.6% and imports 50558 million yuan, up 15.2%.
From the major export markets, Shanghai's exports to the eu in July were 20.437 billion yuan, up 25.7 percent from last year. Exports to the United States rose by 10.5% to 27.21 billion yuan. Exports to Japan rose 3.1 per cent to 10.38 billion yuan. Exports to Hong Kong totaled 10.102 billion yuan, up 10.9 percent.
